We rode three tier sleeping coach, non a/c quite pleasant. We sat near family from Rajistan, a state in the north, the bride wore a scarf around her face for one year after marriage. They said they were Brahman sect of Hindu’s. There are thirty states in India, their primary language was Rajistani, but they also spoke Hindi and Kokani, which is the language of the small state of Goa. If I were to define one aspect of most of the Indian people it would be tolerance. We have speculated on weather this is brought about by the spirit of limited economic resources or the Hindu religion or both. But most people here have been very friendly and helpful.
