Stage 55 – Luviri School to Kasungu
108km, 4:01hrs, 26.7kph, 671m (vertical)
Got an early start and missed the rain. Quick lunch, stayed hydrated and pushed it. Keep heart rate at 125 to 135 with burst to 145. Legs recovering.
People still friendly and many say “good morning, how are you sir? If you say “good how are you,” they will generally say, “fine”.
Tomorrow Lilongwe and rest day. But, since I got to camp early I was able to do laundry, get some mending done, work on some bikes and relax. 8:00pm, bedtime. 4:00am comes early.
Highlights:
- Cheering section from schools passed by.
- Clouds and cool riding.
- Staying dry.
Hang in there Morris. It gets easier now, I think.
Morris, can you bring back some of that “Divine Wisdom” from the shop?
