Stage 72 – Bush Camp to Ghanzi

145km, 5:15hrs, 27.7 kph
The guys I’ve been riding with took off early but had a couple more guys join so I decided to ride alone and go at my own pace rather than ride with large group going fast.
Later I was joined by Tom, my friend from UK, and we had a nice ride together.
Our conversation covered free will, enabling, and happiness.
Some time later, we came upon the accident scene.  A touch of the brakes, a touch of the wheels. A broken collar bone, six broken ribs and a concussion.  Rider in back went over the handle bars. He was one of the best riders on the tour. I felt lucky riding on my own. I’ll miss this guy.
More cowboys, beautiful smells of plants, racing some donkeys, healthy cattle, a dead puff adder. Plenty of space.
I really like Botswana.  The people, the clouds and the butterflies.  It is one of my favorites so far.
