At just after mid night at our camp there was a lot of shouting and dogs and barking. The shouting was in very rapid Arabic. Eventually we got back to sleep. The next day my friend Anton from Slovenia, woke up, grabbed a shovel, and headed out to do his thing. Next thing you know the police who were there to guard us rushed him with machine guys and hollored “freeze” in Arabic, which he didn’t speak. The more they screamed the more freighted he became especially when they chambered rounds. Finally he told them “bathroom”, when they sent for the captain that finally understood. He said he was happy it had happened “after” he had gone!
