Hello Egypt!
Arrived in Egypt via London, but my bike didn't make it. Good time to relax and use patience.

Thank you to Crystal from Spur Cross Cycles who really helped me out. She spent hours making sure my bike was safely boxed for the flight to Egypt.
My good friend and Thoracic Surgeon, Neil Steinoff, visited me weekly for checkups
My great friend Dennis Wilson. He was to do the first two stages of the ride but a car hit him and badly injured his foot. We’ll miss you Dennis!
I'm waiting for my new front fork and wheels set to arrive. With my unfortunate crash, I haven't been able to put a significant amount of miles on this new bike. It makes me a little nervous.
Today was my first time back on the bike after my unfortunate meeting with a motor vehicle. Though I broke 4 ribs and punctured my lung, I know I have to get cranking if I'm going to ride the TDA.
Eric Cedeno owner of Bicycle Nomad Cafe in Phoenix has been a great help to me as I prepare for the Tour 'dAfrique. I'm also proud to call him a friend. Thanks Eric!
Time for a little rest while riding through trails. This is where I find my inner peace. Beautiful scenery, fresh air, me and my thoughts...for hours on end. It energizes me. It also doesn't hurt to check what I left behind.
